Heins argued, the performance of the two-year-old tablet that can be the one reason why the company chose not to update the OS to BlackBerry 10.

Playbook OS Updated

As is known in January - with the launch of "BlackBerry 10 handsets Z10 and Q10" - Heins said that the new platform is available on the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. But now it coud be another story.

Beyond that, the BlackBerry revealed that it had lost USD84 million during April-June this year, but the Canadian company recorded a revenue growth of 15 percent year over year. BlackBerry also managed to sell 6.8 million units of smartphones, where 2.7 million of them are based on BlackBerry 10 handsets.
